Lyrics

Last Of The Mohicans

Last of the Mohicans throws his tomahawk at the sky
turns his back a second and gets hit between the eyes
The hit parade runs over him and he's gone, gone, gone
but you won't read it in the morning papers
Because there ain't nobody left today
to cry for those that have gone away
to mourn a much more peacefull way of living

Jesus sits on his crown of thorns,
a pinch to see if he is dreaming
and even Lucifer's demons are so bored they could cry
'cause where's the fun in taking souls already long gone
so Jesus cries a lot because he's lonely
Because there ain't nobody left today
to cry for those that have gone away
to mourn a much more peacefull way of living

And the baffled king has given up
on trying to compose his Hallelujia
What's the point of singing
when there ain't nobody left to listen to you?

Hallelujia, Hallelujia, Hallelujia, Hallelujia...
