I don't have lofty ambitions
I'm just trying to stand up because I've got to take a piss
but my feet feel weak below me

maybe I should explain, I saw a doctor for this pain
she said that I would die before the winter came again

will knock out every light

They tell me there is nothing I can do
there ain't anybody I can sue
I can't write to complain to any board of directors

like the one about the fringe on the surrey
I regret now that I didn't sing along
I thought I had better things about which to worry

now they all tell me to be strong
but I'd like to take every conversation we ever had
and try to cram them all in this song
and blast it 'till my hearing goes bad
