Into The Darkness
In your shack by the river, you lit a small fire fixing tea for company, we sat and passed the time the embers glowed like stardust, reflected in your eyes you told your stories, I was mesmerized you’re got to look into the darkness if you want to see the light through an alley down some stairs, curtain for a door smell of curry fills the air, you hear laughter and a song I admit I was afraid to walk down that stair now I’ve got new friends if I ever come back here you’re got to look into the darkness if you want to see the light standing on top of a mountain looking down on the city below there is no moon tonight the only light that city’s glow twinkling jewels reflected off the lake some shimmering nebula in space you’re got to look into the darkness if you want to see the light you’re got to go into the darkness if you want to reach the light
