At The Bluebird
Off the bus from Tallahassee or maybe Lexington, Kentucky with a dream, a one-way ticket, and a song relatives and writers crowd the stage and sometimes sing along In Sunday clothes and Stetson hats with one chance to shone and then a long ride back to the factory or the grocery store to that same old town where you'll probably die, where you were born nervously you take the stage and wonder why you ever came to be lost in this endless crowd but then a hush falls and the lights go down and you're taking care of business at the Bluebird with open ears and honest smiles the people come and crowd the aisles knowing its the best show in this town who will be the next to climb the country charts and make it in this town? nervously you take the stage and wonder why you ever came to be lost in this endless crowd but then a hush falls and the lights go down and you're taking care of business at the Bluebird maybe someone will discover you, maybe you'll be famous but when the lights go down and they call your name all those hopes just melt away and you're taking care of busines at the Bluebird
