Dreams In The Wind
I threw my dreams in the wind to see where they would land I followed them for miles and kept them in my sights I followed them to where the light was clear and bright across the dessert I could see the oasis cool and welcoming I spurred my horse through the dust and I grabbed my hat and road in the land of the homeless I’ve got a home in the land of the chained I am free I walked barefoot all across the whole, wide world and all along my home is where I thought it would be I thought that I was destined for failure that alone I’d always be I spent a lot of time in god-forsaken corners trying to pay for what is free across the dessert I could see the oasis cool and welcoming I spurred my horse through the dust and I grabbed my hat and road in the land of the homeless I’ve got a home in the land of the chained I am free I walked barefoot all across the whole, wide world and all along my home is where I thought it would be sometimes it seems so unbelievable to me sometimes dreams are sold sometimes I feel like I’ll go blind from staring at this light I’m trying to hold
